2013's Irish Open took place at the start of March with continuous and adults advanced points categories on the Saturday 2nd and kids and adults beginner - intermediate points on Sunday 3rd. After BCKA's success in 2012 there was a lot of anticipation coming into this event. In total 14 medals were won with 2 Irish Open Champions, 3 silver medals and 9 bronze medals.
The WAKO British Championships were held on the 16th and 17th of February with continuous on the 16th and points and kata on the 17th. The BCKA took a team along to compete over the weekend with some good performances and results.
The points and kata sections of the WKC English National Championships were held on 3rd February 2013 with the continuous sections held on the 24th February. The BCKA had a strong team out in force representing the association for both events.
For the first time we had some of our martial artists competing in the weapons categories of the kata competition. And both events yielded fantastic results for the BCKA with a total medal count of 65, effectively doubling the total from 2012.
The WKC Great Britain Championships for 2012 took place on the 17th June in Manchester. As usual with WKC competitions the standard of competitors was very high and the BCKA team set off ready for the challenge.
The beginning of March 2012 saw the BCKA heading out for their annual trip to the Irish Open. And like every other year the BCKA met at Lodge Park Sports Centre to begin their journey by coach and ferry to Ireland.
This year's WKC English National Championships were split over two days with the points and kata sections on the 5th February and the light contact on the 26th February.
With the success of 2010’s World Championships still fresh in the mind it seemed implausible that a year had passed already and it was time to do it all again, but this was the case on Monday 31st October as fighters and martial artists from the BCKA finished packing their suitcases and prepared for the journey to Cadiz, Spain. Unfortunately the whole team were not able to travel together with the majority of the team flying out from Birmingham in the early hours of Monday morning and BCKA Lincolnshire’s fighters flying from Manchester later in the day.
On Sunday 25th September a team of 23 BCKA fighters attended the MAI Open in Manchester. All members of the team put in an excellent performance with some exceptional fights on the day and in total the team came away with 6 gold medals, 7 silver medals and 17 bronze medals.
Well done and thanks to all those who represented the club, fighters and spectators alike.
BCKA National Championships 2011 took place on 21st May 2011 at Lodge Park Sports Centre in Corby.
Once again this was a great tournament with some excellent performances put in by fighters both new and experienced. Thanks to all who attended and to those who helped out during the day and congratulations to all the fighters for making this tournament - your tournament - a success.
After months and months of hard training the BCKA England Squad gathered together at Lodge Park Sports Centre on the 4th March preparing to set off for another Irish Open tournament. The BCKA have attended the Irish Open annually for many years with some squad members having competed there over ten times and each year it continues to grow and proves to be an incredible experience for the BCKA fighters.
The WKC English National Championships were held on the 13th February. In total the BCKA took away 26 medals - 10 bronze, 7 silver and 9 golds. Well done to all who competed.

2010’s WKC World Championships took place in Albufeira, Portugal and ran from the 30th October to 2nd November. This year the BCKA was represented by 15 fighters who had all fought for their place in the WKC England Team earlier this year. These fighters had been in hard training for many months prior to the tournament, some carrying injuries and others having to drop and keep an eye on weights – these fighters make a lot of sacrifices to be able to attend and perform to their best in these tournaments.
The Martial Arts Illustrated Open Championsips 2010 took place on the 26th September 2010. The BCKA would like to thank all those who represented the club at the championships. Congratulations to all fighters who competed.
BCKA National Championships took place on 23rd May at Lodge Park Sports Centre in Corby.

The 2nd WKC English National Championships took place on March 28th. The BCKA took a strong team of 25 fighters up to Manchester to participate. With many strong performances over the course of the day 21 fighters from the BCKA qualified for this year's World Championships in Portugal by winning a medal in their category. In total 26 medals were won, 4 golds, 8 silvers and 14 bronzes.
Many congratulations to all fighters, in particular those that qualified for the World Championships – lots of hard training now for the World Championships, to be held in Portugal in November.
Over Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March members of the BCKA England Squad competed in the Irish Open, the world's largest martial arts tournament. This proved once again to be a fantastic experience for the BCKA fighters with the squad winning 2 golds, 1 silver and 4 bronzes, with 3 fighters also making the quarter finals.
On 28th February the BCKA travelled up to Manchester to participate in 2010's FSK tournament. A total of 20 fighters took part with the BCKA largely 'cleaning up' at the event coming away with 8 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals. A great day was had by all with the results shown below.

At the beginning of November 2009 nine fighters from the BCKA and their coaches travelled to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the WKC World Championships as part of the WKC England Team. The fighters fought exceptionally well and came away with a total of 9 medals - 8 bronze and 1 silver.
