BCKA National Championships

BCKA National Championships took place on 23rd May at Lodge Park Sports Centre in Corby.

 

Many thanks to all who attended and especially to all those who helped out during what turned out to be a rather hot day.  Congratulations to all fighters for making this a great tournament.

WKC English National Championships

The 2nd WKC English National Championships took place on March 28th. The BCKA took a strong team of 25 fighters up to Manchester to participate. With many strong performances over the course of the day 21 fighters from the BCKA qualified for this year's World Championships in Portugal by winning a medal in their category. In total 26 medals were won, 4 golds, 8 silvers and 14 bronzes.

 

Many congratulations to all fighters, in particular those that qualified for the World Championships – lots of hard training now for the World Championships, to be held in Portugal in November.

Irish Open 2010

Over Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th March members of the BCKA England Squad competed in the Irish Open, the world's largest martial arts tournament. This proved once again to be a fantastic experience for the BCKA fighters with the squad winning 2 golds, 1 silver and 4 bronzes, with 3 fighters also making the quarter finals.

FSK Tournament

On 28th February the BCKA travelled up to Manchester to participate in 2010's FSK tournament. A total of 20 fighters took part with the BCKA coming away with 8 gold, 9 silver and 7 bronze medals.

World Championship Success

At the beginning of November 2009 nine fighters from the BCKA and their coaches travelled to Dublin, Ireland to participate in the WKC World Championships as part of the WKC England Team. The fighters fought exceptionally well and came away with a total of 9 medals - 8 bronze and 1 silver.
